Text Book and Page research
Page Research
- It was considered that usign similar page types to things that already exist will make it easier for the user to understand how to use each of the pages.
- Common pages repeat elements to create a simple design with each of them being used for different things.
- Pages include Lined , Dotted, Blank and Gridded designs
- These pages are often included in notebooks and diaries as a way of recording information
Workbook Visual Research
- A workbook / textbook separates content into sections to group similar information and make the design easier to navigate. These are then further subdivided into units with specific page numbers. The contents of a textbook is listed in a linear way to make it easy to follow the often lengthy amount of content within the book.
- Some contents pages group information using colour to make it easy to identify individual topics.
- Text books are laid out using column grids for large sections of text making the content easier to follow.
